Terms of Use
Last updated 19 October 2026
These terms apply when you use the Gairgo website or apps to order, sell or deliver in Koforidua and Abuakwa North (Kukurantumi, Tafo), Ghana. By creating an account you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy.
Your account
- You must be 18 or older and give your real name and phone number.
- Keep your password to yourself. You're responsible for what happens on your account; turn on two-step login for extra safety.
- One person, one account. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, cheat or put others at risk.
Ordering and paying
- Shops set their own prices. The delivery fee depends on the distance and the number of shops, and is shown before you pay.
- We take Mobile Money only (MTN, Telecel, AT) through Paystack. There is no cash on delivery.
- An order starts once your payment is confirmed. One order can include up to 3 shops close to each other.
- If a shop can't make your order, that shop's items are refunded to your MoMo. If no shop can, the whole order is refunded.
- Pharmacies on Gairgo sell over-the-counter items only.
Delivery
- Give an accurate map pin and landmark, and keep your phone on so the rider can reach you.
- For hand-to-hand deliveries, give the rider your 4-digit PIN only once the order is in your hands. Gairgo will never ask you for it.
- If you can't be reached, the rider waits, tries to call you, then may leave the order at a safe spot with a photo or take it back. Orders taken back this way are normally not refunded, because the shop made the order and the rider delivered it.
- Didn't get your order? Report it on the order page within 24 hours. We check the rider's GPS, photos and PIN record and refund you if you're right. False reports can lead to a strike on your account.
Shops and riders
- Shops and riders are independent businesses and people, not Gairgo employees. They must pass an identity check and be approved before they start.
- Shops keep their menu, prices, stock and opening hours accurate and prepare orders safely. Gairgo keeps a commission on each sale.
- Riders follow road laws, carry orders with care and only mark deliveries done when they really are. Riders earn a share of each delivery fee.
- Earnings become available once each delivery is checked, and can be withdrawn to the MoMo number on the account.
Things you must not do
- Use someone else's identity, account or payment method.
- Fake deliveries, GPS positions, photos or "not received" reports.
- Harass, threaten or cheat customers, shops, riders or Gairgo staff.
- Order or sell anything illegal, or prescription medicines.
- Try to break into, overload or copy the app.
Our responsibility
We work hard to keep Gairgo running and deliveries on time, but we can't promise it will never be late or unavailable. Shops are responsible for the food and goods they sell. As far as the law allows, Gairgo isn't liable for indirect losses, and our liability for an order is limited to what you paid for it. Nothing here takes away rights you have under Ghanaian consumer law.
Ending your account
You can delete your account any time in Account → Delete Account (see gairgo.com/account/delete). We may close accounts that break these terms, after paying out any money that is fairly owed.
Changes, law and contact
We may update these terms; we'll change the date above and tell you about important changes. These terms are governed by the laws of Ghana.
